이거 참,,, 십 년 만이다.

슬라이고는 변한 게 없어 보인다.

 

It's been,,, ten years.
Sligo doesn't seem to have changed.

 

 

 

내가 살았던 리버 사이드 빌라 :) 너무나 익숙한 이 길. 이 풍경. 정말 그대로라니,,, 너무 신기했다!

Riverside Villa where I lived :) This road is so familiar. This landscape. Nothing really changed. It was so amazing!

 

 

눈에 띄는 변화가 있었다. 10년 전 가디언을 맡아주셨던 정사장님께서 한식&일식 퓨전 레스토랑을 슬라이고에 여신 것!

그게 벌써 5년째라니,,, 세월이 무섭도록 빠르게 지나간다.

조금은 우울한 기분으로 슬라이고에 들렀기 때문에, 그냥 구경만 하고 가려고 했는데, 정사장님 내외분께서 반갑게 맞아주셨다.

 

There has been a noticeable change.

Mr.Jung who was my guardian 10 years ago, has opened a Korean & Japanese fusion restaurant in Sligo.

It's been five years already. Time flies by so quickly.

Since I arrived at Sligo in a slightly depressed mood, I was just going to go straight to the Strand hill 

after seeing only the restaurant, but Mr.Jung and Mrs.Jung welcomed me.

입구 앞 기둥들에는 익숙한 김홍도의 그림들이 큼지막하게 나를 반겨준다.

Familiar Kim Hong-do's big paintings on the pillars in front of the entrance greet me.

 

 

 

멀리서 왔다고 한 상 차려주셨다. 힝...

It's like facing a house meal at home to me such as a traveler.

 

 

 

미처 말씀해주시기 전에는 몰랐는데, 내 그림이 입구에 떡 하니 걸려있네? 와우! ㅠㅠ 감격!

업데이트하시게 새로운 슬라이고 그림을 그려 보내드려야겠다.

이제 새로운 슬라이고 그릴 수 있게 되었으니깐... :)

 

I didn't know until he told me, but my painting was hanging at the entrance! wow!

I would like to send a new Sligo painting to Miso.

이틀 밤을 스트랜드 힐 바닷가에서 지냈다.

고요하고도 들썩한 곳이다.

바람과 바다가 위안을 주는 곳.

 

I spent two nights at Strandhill Beach.

It's a quiet and exhilarating place.

A place where the wind and the sea provide solace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

십 년 전 지나쳤던 여왕 메이브의 무덤에 올랐다.

요정들이 노닐 듯한 풍경의 초입을 지나고, 솟아오른 나무들이 빼곡한 중턱을 지나,

모든 것이 하얗게, 구름 속에서 유영이라도 할 수 있을 것 같은 정상에 도착했다.

희뿌연 거리감 속에서 가끔 마주치는 사람들은 아주 가벼운 차림으로 산책이라도 나온 듯한 모습들이었다.

가끔은 반려견을 데리고 온 사람들도 있었다. 일요일의 조금은 가벼운 산책로였던 것이다.

 

I climbed the tomb of Queen Maeve, where I did not go ten years ago.

Passing through the beginning of the scenery that the fairies seem to live in, 

and past the mountainside surrounded by dense trees, finally, I reached the top submerged in white clouds.

The people who sometimes meet in the clouds seemed to have walked out in very light clothes.

Sometimes there were people who brought their dogs. It was a little light walk of Sunday to them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

십년 만에 도착한 슬라이고에는 햇빛이 가득하지 않았다.

아주 조금은 햇볕이 내리쬘 수도 있을 거라 기대도 했었다.

한적함, 쾌적함, 건강함, 여유로움.

그리고 마무리.

그간의 슬라이고를 정리하기 위한 여행이었다.

10년간의 슬라이고 사랑, 마침.

 

Sligo, which arrived in ten years, was not full of sunlight.

I expected a little bit of sunshine.

Quiet, pleasant, healthy, relaxed.

And finish.

It was a trip to wrap up Sligo so far.
